Learn to Play the Guitar | Expert Guitar Lessons & Tuition
Master the Fretboard & Discover Your Sound
There is nothing quite like the feeling of picking up a guitar and playing your favourite songs. Whether your goal is to strum an acoustic on the beach, lay down heavy riffs on an electric, or lock in the groove on a bass, learning to play the guitar is a thrilling, lifelong journey. At Consort Music, Arts & Events Group, our expert guitar tuition is tailored entirely to you, designed to build your confidence and get you playing the music you actually love.
Fun Facts for Future Guitarists:
A Brain Workout: Playing the guitar is proven to alter brain function, improving memory, concentration, and hand-eye coordination. It’s essentially a workout for your grey matter!
The Ultimate Versatility: From classical Spanish fingerpicking and jazz chords to blistering rock solos and modern pop, the guitar is arguably the most versatile instrument in the world.
A Rich History: The oldest surviving guitar in the world dates all the way back to 1590—though we promise our teaching methods are a lot more modern than that!
More Than Just Strumming: Proper Technique & Theory
While we love a good campfire singalong, our brilliant guitar tutors are not just here to teach you a few basic chords. We believe in building a solid foundation. Our lessons dive into proper playing technique, music reading, fretboard theory, and rhythm. We teach you how the music works, giving you the skills to improvise, write your own songs, and truly understand the instrument.
Fun, Relaxed, and Supportive Teaching
Even though we teach proper technique, our lessons are never stuffy or intimidating. We pride ourselves on a fun, positive, and totally pressure-free environment. For most of our students, playing for pleasure is the ultimate goal, and we are here to support that. However, if you do want to take formal graded exams, you are in the best possible hands. Across our teaching group, we hold a flawless 30-year, 100% exam pass rate.
